Summary
US Army Sergeant First Class Randy Mosley is about to retire after twenty years of service. He expects his transition to civilian life to go smoothly but the sudden death of Private Perry Dickson, a clerk in the personnel office of the infantry unit to which Randy is assigned devastates him. The Army concludes that Perry's death is a result of a DUI but the swastika on the hood of his car, coupled with the fact that Perry did not drink alcohol because it made him sick, convinces Randy that his soldier was murdered. Unable to convince his superiors of foul play Randy decides to investigate Perry's death. That investigation leads him to a skinhead faction on the military installation where the death occurred. Randy receives death threats as he probes the hate group. A chance encounter with one of Perry's friends leads Randy's investigation in another direction. He soon discovers a drug ring masterminded by Perry and his friends, and begins to investigate the possibility that Perry was not murdered by Skinheads but by one of his friends. Randy solves his clerk's murder but he pays a heavy price for his effort
