Summary

This fast-paced story is set in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, where violence sprouts from roots of greed, hatred, rage, and vengeance. Sheri Charley Scott could never have imagined the web of savagery and death that would ensnare him and loved ones. While Scott and his wife are in Damascus, Virginia, for a short vacation that includes a hike on the Appalachian Trail, their outing becomes a nightmare.
