Summary
The Insect Book is solely written to help younger children learn about insects and how to care and feed them, keeping them as a pet. Through all the years giving lectures, children and parents were under the assumption all insects eat grass which was placed in a jar when they found an insect. This not being true, their insect would expired the next day. I wrote this book as a guide to assist parents and children how to start collecting and caring for insects as a pet. The Insect Book explains supplies needed to start which includes illustrated pictures throughout the book so if they are not at a reading level they can understand looking at the pictures. The Insect Book contains several common insects, where to find them and what they eat. The butterfly and moth section has illustrated pictures with color coded markings for the children to color to help identify a caterpillar when they start their insect venture
