Summary
When true love between Stephanie and Vaughn leads them to totally different fateful decisions, their conflict could mean their deaths. Watching this from above, Mafferan and Yinauqua argue over what can be done, which dangerously entangles them in ethereal High Councilor ScrabaGag's plans to bring everyone under his dominion. All the while, Jargono continues his plans for world domination, unaware of the deeper consequences, and that if he destroys Vaughn and Stephanie, he will eventually destroy himself, too. ScrabaGag patiently delights in the slow progression of his manipulations and his rise to ever greater power. Two passionate teenagers face a world of evil, desperately striving for the life they know is real, yet knowing they are way overmatched by their enemies. Understanding the true meaning of goodness is their only solace as they bravely face their deaths
