Summary
Season five of The Good Wife marks a new start for Alicia Florrick as she and Cary join forces to launch their own law firm. As they sever ties with Lockhart/Gardner, tensions escalate and explode as the new rivals go into attack mode - battling each other both in and out of court. Alicia's relationship with Will seems irrevocably damaged as he contends with her professional and personal betrayal. Diane, who was poised for a judgeship, has her nomination revoked after firing Alicia and returns to the firm.
