Summary
A brave young princess sets out on a dangerous adventure to rescue her mother and her infant son. This illustrated chapter book retelling of a folktale from Brazil is available individually and as part of the Stories from around the World: 4 Tales of Persistence & Grit set. Mary Finch was born and educated in London. She worked for twelve years in children's publishing and spent nine years as a specialist children's bookseller. She currently lives outside Bath, England, and has two daughters and four grandchildren. Martina Peluso has wanted to be an illustrator ever since she read The BFG by Roald Dahl when she was young. After growing up in Tuscany and Naples, Italy, she studied Art of Printing at the Institute of Art in Naples and has taken illustration courses at Sarmede and Pavia. She has worked in all areas of illustration, including advertising, packaging, editorial and design; her artwork has been exhibited throughout the world. She lives in Edinburgh, Scotland
