Glacier National Park was established in 1910 and later deemed an International Biosphere Reserve, this "Crown Of The Continent" is truly spectacular. Hiking, wilderness & wildlife viewing opportunities abound. One of the most amazing highlights is a sight-seeing drive on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. Craters Of The Moon National Monument & Preserve is a vast ocean of lava flows with islands of cinder cones and sagebrush. Three special kinds of pahoehoe lava can be seen in this park as well Aa. This park also contains almost all of the Great Rift. Also featuring: Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, Minidoka National Historic Site, Nez Perce National Historic Park, Bighole National Battlefield, Grant Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site, Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, City of Rocks National Reserve, Virginia City Historic District, Bannack State Park
